Day 3 – Tuesday

Theme: Jesus is anointed

Read: Mark 14:1-9

Say: This woman (who was Mary, sister of Lazarus & Martha) gave Jesus a very expensive gift when she poured perfume on Him. Jesus said this was done to prepare His body for burial. Mary did this as an act of worship to Jesus because she loved Him.

Ask: What can we do to show Jesus we love him? What can we give Him as an act of worship?

Pray: Jesus, we give you the gift of our lives today. Help us to worship you every day.

Do: Mix a little oil and perfume and let your kids “anoint” one of their dolls (or a parent or sibling) just like Mary anointed Jesus. Encourage your children to think about ways they can worship Jesus every day. Sing a song in worship to Him as a family. Suggested Song: I Love You by Yancy.
