WHAT ARE EQUIP CLASSES?
Equip Classes are seminar-style classes that exist to help us better know and love God through studying the Scriptures, theology, ministry, and history He has established. These classes last about 60 minutes, following a brief time of introduction and announcements.
WHO ARE EQUIP CLASSES FOR?
Anyone! Equip Classes are suggested for adults of any ages, and are also open to middle and high school students. KiDS programming is provided in City Church KiDS for babies, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children. Equip Classes are not only for those already leading at City Church, but for any man or woman looking to grow in his or her faith and knowledge of God's truths.
City Church University
City Church University is a two year rotation of 4-week Bible and theology courses. The purpose of City Church University is to help God’s people better understand what we believe and why we believe it so that we can engage the ever-changing culture with an unchanging truth.
The two year rotation of classes focuses on two distinct elements: 1) learning the basics of interpretation as well as the background and basic content of the books of the Bible; 2) forming a theological framework for understanding Who God is and how He works. The desired outcome of these classes is not simply knowledge but also being equipped to be on mission in our culture. Together, we will follow Jesus into the world.
Classes will include supplemental readings to enhance one’s learning experience. Textbooks will be available for purchase at cost.
