Day 2 – Monday

Theme: Cleansing of the Temple

Read: Matthew 21:12-13, 1 Corinthians 3:16

Say: Jesus chased the sellers out of the temple, calling them thieves because they were cheating and robbing God’s people. God’s temple was to be holy and pure because it was His dwelling place before Christ died.

Ask: According to 1 Corinthians 3:16, where is God’s dwelling place now? How can we live in a way that is holy and pure? Who helps us live this way?

Pray: Thank you God for loving us so much that you sent your son Jesus to die for our sins. Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit when we turn from our sin and trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Help us to live a life that is holy and pleasing to you.

Do: Let your children retell the Bible story using toys or dolls, or let older children just act out the story. Talk about how we can live like Jesus and stand up for what is right with the help of the Holy Spirit.
