Frequently Asked Questions

Who can register in KiDS?

Parents with a child within the age range of 6 weeks to 5 years, and all Kindergartners through 5th graders.

How Do I Pre-CHECK-in My Child & Skip the Line?

You can now pre-check-in your child through our online reservation system!  By pre-checking-in your child(ren), their ID tags will be pre-printed and waiting for you on Sunday mornings! Pre-Check HERE

If I pre-check, how do I check-in my child?

Check-in and ID tag pick-up begins at the main KiDS desk in the main lobby. Simply provide the name of your child to one of our KiDS Team Members, and they will either give you your pre-printed personal ID stickers with their name and an ID number or check your child in if they are not yet pre-checked-in. Parents will be given a matching ID tag. Please make sure to share any special instructions for your child.

How do I drop-off and pick-up my child?

Parents should present their child’s matching ID tag at the time of pick-up so volunteers can ensure each child is given to the proper parents or guardians.

Will the Nursing Mother’s room be open?

Yes. The nursing mother's room will be available for parents with infants to feed or change diapers. We ask that only one parent per child enter these spaces. There will be cleaning guidelines within this room. Please follow these guidelines to ensure we maintain a clean and safe space for any new parents and children entering.

Will KiDS programming be the same?

KiDS programming has returned to in-person worship! Children will remain in their designated rooms the majority of the service, with the exception of restroom breaks and large group worship time. Large group worship will have designated areas for each age group.

What safety precautions are you taking?

While a clean environment has always been a top priority in KiDS, we have implemented a new cleaning system for Sunday mornings that aligns with current CDC guidelines. All KiDS Team members are trained to follow these guidelines. All classrooms have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. All soft toys have been removed from every classroom. All diapering stations have gloves and disposable changing pads, which will be replaced with each new diaper change. KiDS Team Members will frequently clean and sanitize all objects/toys and all surfaces. This will be done during and after each service. Should a child touch a toy to their mouth, it will be placed in a “Cleaning Bin” to be thoroughly cleaned before it’s next use.

What are the safety requirements of your volunteers?

Our KiDS Team Members will be required to wear a mask at all times while serving. They will also frequently hand wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and frequently use and administer hand sanitizer (available in every classroom and has at least 60% alcohol). They have also been trained to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of their elbow. Gloves are not required, with the exception of diaper changes, clothing changes due to accidents, and snack distribution.

What if my child becomes ill during the service?

If your child has had a fever or cough within 24 hours of drop-off, please stay home. We are doing our very best to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all, and your support helps us accomplish this well. Should sudden sickness arise at any point during the service, a single classroom will be designated for unwell children. If your child becomes suddenly ill, you will be notified immediately to come pick up your child.

Will Base Camp be available during the 11am service?

Yes! All children whose parents volunteer, will have the opportunity to attend Base Camp at the 11:00 service. You can register your children for their respective grades at both services if you are volunteering one service and attending another.

Will you have childcare for Sunday City Groups?

Yes! Childcare will be offered between services for any parents attending a Sunday City Group meeting between services. Let your child’s teacher know they will be staying for an extended period of time.
