Helping one another grow more like Jesus

"We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well..."
              -1 Thessalonians 2:8

WHY MENTOR?

Jesus is the master mentor. He showed His followers how to make disciples in the context of relationships. He intentionally sought people out, loved them, taught them, guided them, and shared His life with them. Jesus modeled it, the apostles experienced it and passed it on.

Mentoring changes lives. Investing in a mentoring relationship is one of the most valuable ways we can follow the example of Jesus and impact people. He showed us how to love and trust one another. He calls us to model Him in our everyday lives, knowing it will change the world.

WHAT IS MENTORING?

At CITYCHURCH, we believe growth happens best in community, not alone. However, it's so easy to get lost in the crowd. We can go to Sunday Services, attend a City Group or even volunteer, without having significant personal relationships. We are missing one of God's greatest gifts.

Mentoring is based on intentional relationships focused on personal growth in Christ. Meet together, Share life together, Grow together and then Pass it on by mentoring someone yourself. Our prayer is that everyone at CITYCHURCH can grow more like Jesus through strong mentoring relationships.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
— 2 Timothy 2:2
From the start, God’s simple design has been for every single disciple of Jesus to make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples until the gospel spreads to all peoples on the planet.
